Family injured by fire Requires assistance

Two husbands and six minor children lost all their belongings.

The fire reduced to rubble a house located in the area Caguazhún Grande Gualaceo Canton. There lay an integrated by a married couple and their six children under age (four men and two women) family. The first child is 15, the other 13, 8, 6, 5 and the last one years.

The fire occurred on Sunday, around 13:40. All assets of the eight people were in ashes. Fire Department personnel Gualaceo went to the emergency call, but the distance to which the community is located hampered the timely care.

The fire spread quickly. The flames reached the roof of the building until construction of adobe walls, wood framing and roof tiles. Only the walls remained.

Manuel Lucero, who is close to the victims, reported that the fire occurred when the family was not home. He was in a social gathering in the home of relatives located within walking distance, since the weekend the sacrament of confirmation of several young people in the community was held.
