The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. in the 2700 block of 128th St. SE, fire officials said. Video showed massive flames billowing from the home with a smoke column visible from Bellevue.
Witness Shelby Kreger was driving home when she first saw the smoke.
"I was coming home and as soon as we turned into the neighborhood I saw huge, thick black smoke rising up higher than I've ever seen in my life. We came down here and the entire house was completely engulfed in flames," she said.
Video from the scene showed one person being loaded into an ambulance, and officials later said a man was being taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt, officials said.
Three fire agencies responded to the 1 1/2-alarm fire, officials said.
There's no word yet what started the fire.
